As co-owner of Daystar Financial Group Inc., Rene provides leadership and direction to our senior management team. He oversees company operations to guarantee the highest standards of efficiency, service, and cost-effective management.
Rene brings to the task 24 years of experience working for a leading Canadian Life Insurance company, where he navigated his way to the position of General Manager. This management experience has helped Rene integrate the best of a fiercely independent MGA with the benefits of a career agency feel - our advisors enjoy their independence with a generous helping of coaching and support.
Since entering the financial services industry in 1975, Rene has developed a thorough understanding of complex tax and estate planning. He runs a thriving financial services practice, Pereux Financial Services Inc., providing solutions to both families and businesses. His extensive field experience translates into great service for you. Not only does he understand how your business works, he integrates your feedback into creating the programs and services you really need.
Actively involved in industry associations, Rene is a member of:
- Advocis,
- The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), and
- Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT). A lifetime member, Rene has also qualified for Court of the Table and Top of the Table, the organization’s highest distinctions.
In 2008, he was inducted into the Sun Life Hall of Fame. This lifetime achievement award recognizes the company’s outstanding advisors and managers. The Hall of Fame rewards those who have made a commitment to excellence in service to clients, combined with active participation in community organizations.
Rene considers learning a lifelong process, and over the years has earned the CLU, CFP, and CH.F.C designations. A firm believer in giving back to the community, he’s been recognized as a “Children’s Champion” for his support of the The Rehabilitation Centre for Children. The RCC supports children with special needs in Manitoba and surrounding areas.
