Assistant Qualification

Your assistant must be be employed by you during the qualification period and for the duration of the conference.

Conference qualification and attendance policies
Please note Daystar is the final authority as to the interpretation of these rules. Daystar reserves the right to change these rules at its sole discretion.

Contract and other requirements
In order to attend, you must be contracted with Daystar at the time of the conference.

Invitation to attend
Attendance at the conference is by invitation only. You will be notified whether you are to be considered for invitation to the conference, based on the qualification criteria outlined above. Daystar will exercise its discretion in determining the final invitee list, including the decision to exclude anyone who Daystar views as inappropriate to invite for any reason. Conference invitations are discretionary awards given by Daystar in recognition of an invitee’s efforts on Daystar‘s behalf, and are not earned benefits.

Companion policy
Your companion must be 21 years of age or older. Conference activities are not open to children or additional guests.

Conference dates
Daystar Financial reserves the right to change the dates and/or location of the conference.

Conference-related expenses**
Conference-related expenses for each conference invitee and his or her companion will be paid for by Daystar Financial. For the 2010 Conference, this includes a travel allowance for air and ground transportation, accommodation, meals, receptions and organized activities.
In accordance with Daystar’s practice, there is no cash allowance in lieu of conference attendance. An invitee who is unable to attend the conference as awarded is not entitled to any other compensation and cannot send any other person in his or her place.

Conference travel
Conference invitees must be prepared to travel in the manner set forth by Daystar Financial. We will try to accommodate personal preferences and itinerary requirements, but any additional expenses related to those personal requirements will be the invitee’s responsibility. Invitees must be fit for travel. We reserve the right to limit an invitation to attend due to health restrictions.

Accommodations
We will be staying at the Bellagio. More details will be provided closer to the conference date.

Companion policy
An invitation is extended to you and one adult companion of your choice (21 years of age or older as of September 10, 2010). Your guest should be someone who has helped you qualify by supporting you in other aspects of your life.

 

Substitutions or alternate awards are not permitted. If you have been invited and cannot attend, no alternate choice in the type of meeting, the timing of the meeting, nor cash substitute will be available. Daystar Financial reserves the right to retract any invitation to an incentive event as well as any associated travel arrangements and costs incurred, prior to the event date. Please note that should an invitation not be extended or is retracted, the qualifier will not receive compensation from the company and will be responsible for any costs they, or their companion, may have incurred with regard to their attendance or non-attendance at the event.

Taxation
As deemed by the Canada Revenue Agency, conference attendance for both the invitee and his or her companion is a taxable benefit and will be reported on the invitee's T4A. The value will be based on cost of flight, accommodation, ground transportation, and any cash allowances provided for invitee and companion.
